A recent Minnesota bride turned vendor, wedding obsessed and most likely to be tearing up behind the camera during your vows. Whether you know me from sharing my planning process, mistakes and tips on wedding TikTok or you stumbled upon me on a whim, I'm happy you're here.

The origin of Candid & Kate was a slow burn -  I started documenting all the behind the scenes moments at my best friend's weddings in 2021 and that same year I started building my community of almost 100k on TikTok of amazing brides-to-be and wedding vendors alike. There were two major regrets I kept seeing from newlyweds - 1. not having a wedding videographer and for couples with and without videographers - 2. not having more (or any) quality behind-the-scenes videos and photos on their phones from the wedding day. I knew bringing content creation to the wedding world was the perfect solution for this gap so one beautiful wedding, a new last name, a two week honeymoon, some word of mouth gigs and one new corporate job later I finally found the time to sit down and officially launch Candid & Kate. 

 

During wedding planning, my favorite wedding vendors to work with were the ones I could tell were overflowing with excitement to be a part of my day. They say no one cares about your wedding as much as you do but I might give you a run for your money on that. I truly feel like I'm watching a best friend go down the aisle at every wedding I capture and I don't think I'll ever get tired of gushing over the personal touches, creativity and meaningful moments my couples dream up for their perfect day. Minnesota has my heart (and my husband) so while I focus on weddings here I'm always happy to discuss coverage for inspired affairs hosted elsewhere.

And I can't forget about the vendors either!! Our wedding vision took a whole village of vendors to pull off and since then I've also found a passion for working with wedding vendors on stepping out of their comfort zone to start reaching their dream clients on newer social media platforms through short form video.
